Mesa Verde Country® offers excellent fresh powder skiing, beginner and intermediate terrains, challenging black diamond runs, snowboarding and snowbiking only an hour away in Telluride, Colorado.

When you need a rest from skiing, or if a spouse or family member doesn't want to ski, no problem! There are numerous other activities to pursue in Mesa Verde Country®.

Our archaeological sites are strikingly beautiful with a dusting of snow, and they're accessible year-round. Many of our red rock canyons provide excellent places to hike or bike, even in winter. The Cortez Cultural Center and Anasazi Heritage Center offer educational opportunities throughout the year, and our unique shops provide hours of shopping pleasure.

Many of our lodges have indoor pools, hot tubs, and/or saunas, and other winter sports like snowmobiling, ice fishing, and cross-country skiing are just minutes away. Accommodations are available in Cortez, Dolores, Mancos, and Rico.

Cortez offers a variety of comfortable, reasonably-priced rooms near all major services and attractions. Lodges are up to 72 miles from Telluride. Mesa Verde National Park is just minutes away. Dolores lodges range from 38 to 60 miles from Telluride. Located in the Dolores River valley, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing opportunities abound. Mancos lodges are within 70 miles of Telluride and also near Mesa Verde National Park. Great cross-country skiing is at your doorstep.
