Crow Canyon Archaeological Center

Crow Canyon Archaeological Center is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to long-term archaeological research on the Ancestral Puebloan occupation of the Mesa Verde region.

On Wednesdays and Thursdays, from June to September, Crow Canyon offers a one-day program (open to individuals, groups, or families) that features a tour of a working excavation site. The tour also includes a hands-on activity with artifacts that demonstrates the chronology of the Ancestral Puebloans and provides insight into their complex culture. A tour of the laboratory and curation room reveals the methods by which artifacts are documented and stored.

Crow Canyon also offers week-long excavation programs and cultural explorations, "learning adventures for life-long students", that focus on some of the Southwest's most significant cultural sites.
